Manage Access Rights

How to restrict data and dashboard access based on roles in an organization.

Access rights management controls access to data sources, data assets, and dashboards.

By default, all data sources, data, and dashboards are visible to all members. You can restrict each area by role and/or individual users.

This allows multiple departments or clients to work in one environment while keeping data exposure minimized and compliant.

Roles define which settings and product features users can access.

Access rights management focuses only on data access and provides more granular control.

Leadership should access data sources, data assets, and dashboards relevant to business goals, while other departments should not see that scope.

A marketing teammate supports accounting temporarily and receives short-term access to required data with a few clicks.

A client should receive temporary access to one dashboard through their Sandbank account, without access to other organizational data.

As owner or admin, open Administration from the advanced menu.
Go to Restrict Data Access by User Group.
Use the + action per row to assign relevant integrations, groups, and dashboards.
